Viscom AG - Preliminary figures for 2018: Revenue target achieved, EBIT slightly below forecast

Hanover, 13 February 2019 - Viscom AG (ISIN DE0007846867) generated consolidated revenue of around EUR 93.6 million in the 2018 financial year based on preliminary figures. This falls within the management's forecast range (EUR 93 - 98 million) and is around 6 % higher than the prior-year figure (EUR 88.5 million).

At around EUR 10.9 million (previous year: EUR 13.8 million), however, operating profit (EBIT) was lower than forecast (EUR 12.1-14.7 million). Revenue in the financial year was at the lower end of the forecast range for 2018 due to customers requesting that delivery dates be postponed until the next year. Operating profit declined as a result of this as well as increased staff and material costs. The corresponding EBIT-Margin amounted to around 11.7 % (previous year: 15.6 %).

At approximately EUR 98.8 million, incoming orders in the 2018 financial year were up significantly on the prior-year level (EUR 90.3 million). This increase of around 9.4 % was due in particular to higher order volumes from major existing customers. The order backlog amounted to approximately EUR 25.0 million at year-end, up around 26 % year-on-year (previous year: EUR 19.8 million).

These preliminary figures are subject to certification by the auditor and adoption by the Supervisory Board. The final financial and earnings figures for the 2018 financial year will be published on 19 March 2019.
