We stepped onto the international stage once again, this time in Germany for a meeting of the Health Technology Evaluation Network (H10), a division of Roche and as presenters at the health.tech Conference.Henry Ford Innovations is one of only four members of H10, a global network of diverse health systems formed by Roche where health technologies can be rapidly assessed in real world settings using real technology. H10 considers a wide range of technologies to be assessed at partners’ facilities and plays a critical role in catalyzing the translation of innovative health technologies that impact patients across global ecosystems. Other members include: Rabin Medical Center in Israel, Helios in Germany and the University of Colorado.At the health.tech Conference in Munich, Ilan Rubinfeld, MD, Henry Ford Health Chief Medical Information Officer, participated on a panel titled Charting the Course: Providers’ Visions for the Hospital of the Future. The panel comprised C-suite leaders from health systems across the world who talked about how innovation is shaping tomorrow's hospitals and explored strategies for driving adoption of digital health solutions and uncovering regional priorities and sensitivities. Also discussed was institutional change, accelerating experimentation and leveraging digital technologies to improve patient care.In addition, Kate Zenlea, MPH, CPH, Program Director, Henry Ford Innovations, participated in the panel Accelerating Health Tech Advancements: Insights from the Real World. She focused on the practicalities of running a project or experiment. - Who needs to be informed about the project:? - Who participates in it? - How does the experiment get set up? - Does it require contracts with agreement on objectives and goals, timing, IP ownership/rights, payment, etcWe are proud that our team continues to share their passion and expertise with colleagues across the world.

Congratulations to the Davidson Fellowship for Entrepreneurs in Digital Health class of 2023-24.(https://lnkd.in/d72TuV-G) Friday was graduation day for our 30 fellows who have met monthly for the past nine months receiving formal instruction on themes and skills valued in modern entrepreneurship. An advanced innovation project applying classroom learning to solve a specific technology or healthcare problem also was assigned.The highlight of graduation day is the opportunity for each of the five project groups to present their innovation to a group of distinguished judges. Each group receives feedback and the judges choose a winner. The prize is a beautiful traveling glass “trophy” and of course bragging rights.Our winner this year was team InfuseReady, which is a MyChart care companion designed for oncology patients receiving IV chemotherapy. It empowers patients by providing a personalized, real-time checklist that updates with EPIC. This ensures that patientsare fully prepared for each infusion, while improving the overall experience for both patients and clinical staff.
